Mullendore 9/3 Outline:
1. Primary concern: Administrative advocacy of students is missing. No trust/fiduciary relationship.
a. Bulldawg room: Issue comes up and just disappears.
b. Compliance with professional norms.
1. OVPSA letter.
2. NASPA voting.
3. NASPA PGP.
4. Joint Statement (faculty advisor issue).
5. President’s declaration.
c. Dishonesty?
1. Tom Cochran (ethical subroutine seems to accept half-truths).
a. Never told student body of surplus in 1992.
b. Never told student body of surplus in 1998.
c. Never told SARC of the 52% split.
d. Told Greg and Brett that Dr. J was on K, and we’d lose our secretary if we tried to change faculty advisors.
e. Parking deck ceremony.
2. Student Activity fees: Want to move toward more student control.
3. Off-campus student advocacy: 80% of student body lives off campus, but we have no support off campus in regard to L/T disputes, etc. What does James Chin do, anyway? We need him to be making brochures…possibly, he should make a complaint with the AG about systemic abuses of students…defrauding landlords.
4. Student Judiciary not elected.
