Student Government Association
9 February 1999
Dear Academic Dean or Department Head:
SGA elections are just around the corner, and our records show that your school or college does not have students running for SGA office. Â In order to accommodate students from your school, SGA is extending the election qualification deadline. Â
Please encourage students from your school to run for SGA. Â Without representation from every school, SGA cannot effectively represent the interests of all students. Â
Furthermore, it is important to have SGA representation from your school because SGA funds programs in every School and College. Â
The following Schools or Colleges do not have candidates for SGA seats:
1. Education (2 seats without candidates).
2. Forest Resources (1 seat without a candidate.)
3. Veterinary Medicine (1 seat without a candidate.)
4. Environmental Design (1 seat without a candidate.)
5. Graduate School (3 seats without candidates.)
Petitions for candidacy are available in Tate Center Room 151. Â They are due back on Friday by 4 PM. Â If you have any questions, please contact Jeff Waters at 542-8584.
Thank you,
Chris Hoofnagle
